A super woman blood donor

Born in 1966, Ms. Lai is a member of Chapter 3, Phu Hoa Women's Union. She first volunteered to donate blood 20 years ago and now she does it on a 4-month routine.
Ms. Lai said, her blood donation times does not follow any cycle or plan, as she goes whenever the Center of Hematology and Blood Tranfusion in the Central region urgently needs blood to save people. Her name with phone number has become a familiar "address" for the Blood Bank of the Center. She said, every drop of blood is a gift from my heart for unlucky people when needed. I am happy that I could make a meaningful contribution to saving patients' life.
After the first blood donation, Ms. Lai felt healthier. Searching for information on voluntary blood donation, she realized this humane action also brings numerous health benefits to blood donor if done properly at the right interspacing.
Ms. Lai has now a Certificate with 42 blood donations and she will continue to give blood in the future. She also encourages her family members and people in the neighborhood to donate blood.
Ms. Lai has been honored as an Exemplary Blood Donor for many years. In 2017, she was awarded by the Vietnam Red Cross with a Certificate of Merit and a Medal for her voluntary blood donation.
