Project 322

On April 2004 the PM ratified Project 322 to train experts in the fields of science and technology abroad by state capital.

This project is now in its second phase, which will last till 2014.

State capital allocated to this project is around VND260 billion a year. Annually around 400 people receive scholarships from Project 322 to study abroad, including 200 for doctoral programmes, 100 for master’s, 40 for tertiary degree training and 60 for scientific practice courses.

The training fields of priority under this project are information technology, electronics - telecommunications, energy, material science, biotechnology, areas serving infrastructure building, agriculture - forestry, and some areas of social science and the humanities.

Candidates must meet many conditions on professional knowledge, foreign language, and age (less than 35 for master’s degree training, less than 40 for doctoral degree training and less than 50 for scientific practice).
