On the morning of November 16, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City, the VWU held a meeting themed "Join hands, change together" in response to the National Action Month for Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Response 2024.

On December 3, 2024 in Dien Bien province, over 150 young people and students gathered to listen, discuss successful stories, and share initiatives promoting gender equality and women's leadership, particularly for ethnic minority women.

The Hanoi Ao dai campaign was kicked off on the first day of October, as part of the activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the capital’s liberation (October 10, 1954 - 2024) and the 94th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 – 2024).

On July 3rd, the working delegation of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), head by Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, VWU Vice President, undertook the supervision of policies and laws for female labor in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Mr. Dang Minh Thong, Vice President of Ba Ria – Vung Tau People’s Committee, worked with the delegation.

The dialogue aims to bring opportunities for staffs, members and ethnic minority women to express their thoughts, expectations, and their suggestions or advices as well, for Women's Union at all levels to also have better understanding the local reality, therefore having more practical and effective activities and recommendations for women.

On the occasion of the coming Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet) 2024, Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) at all levels has visited and presented gifts to social policy beneficiaries living in difficult circumstances, disadvantaged VWU members, and women in several provinces. On January 5, within the framework of the 8th session of the 13th Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), the Central VWU held a launching ceremony for the 2024 theme "Promoting the application of information technology in VWU activities" and two contests: Applying information technology (IT) in VWU’s 2024 activities and Composing songs on Vietnamese Women and Mothers.

Recently, the Center for Women and Development, Women’s Union Vietnam, organised the launch of the book “Towards a Peaceful Horizon - Stories of Women Surviving Domestic Violence, Abuse and Human Trafficking” in Hanoi.

The Campaign “Building the family of 5 Without-s and 3 Clean-s”, which was launched by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) in 2010, has assisted many households not only to escape from poverty but also to become better off.

Hanoi, November 11: the Vietnam Women’s Union organized the National Final Award Ceremony of the Contest for children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas to create gender equality media products titled "Listen to your Child”.

On 24th November in Hanoi, the Vietnam Women's Union held a national review Conference on the two - year implementation of the "Patron-parents" Program.
