Further collaboration to promote Vietnamese and Russian women’s engagement in science and technology
On March 27, 2025, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg city, Russia co-organized an online seminar themed "Promoting the role of women and girls in science and technology". The event aimed to foster cooperation and experience-sharing between women of the two countries, encouraging greater participation of women in scientific and technological fields. -

Developing technology-applied flexible learning models to expand women’s access to knowledge
On the afternoon of April 16, 2025, to promote the results of the Joint Program on strengthening learning promotion, talent encouragement, and building a learning society for the 2017–2020 period between the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion (VALP), the two organizations held a signing ceremony to continue the Joint Program for the 2025–2030 period. -

As part of the program where Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with female Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, female Labor Heroes, and female generals on the morning of March 8, the Vietnam Women's Union also organized the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Kovalevskaia Award (1985-2025) and the Kovalevskaia Award 2024 Ceremony. -
PM hails women’s contributions to society, national development
According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam is one of the countries that has achieved the Millennium Development Goal on gender equality and women's empowerment ahead of schedule. In 2024, it ranked 72nd out of 146 countries in the global gender equality index. Notably, the proportion of female deputies in Vietnam’s 2021-2026 National Assembly stands at 30.26%, a high level compared to other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
