Many international women’s organizations and partners sent letters and messages of condolence to the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) when hearing the news of the Passing of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong.

A forum connecting female entrepreneurs of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia was held in Hanoi on July 5, with discussions focusing on green economy.

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man on July 4 hosted a reception for delegations of Lao and Cambodian women and female entrepreneurs who came to Hanoi for a forum connecting businesswomen of the three countries.

On March 25, 2024, President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), Ha Thi Nga, on behalf of the Vietnam Women's Union, sent letters of condolences to its Russian partners over a terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow on the evening of March 22, 2024 (local time) that left many people dead and injured.

From January 16 to 23, 2022, the UN Women in Viet Nam in collaboration with the Vietnam Women’s Union delivered 3,000 gender sensitive essential packages, worth 3 billion VND (150,000 USD), to 3,000 women in Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Binh and Nghe An. These are migrant workers who are facing difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are also at high risk of gender-based violence.

From Novermber 4 – 5, 2021, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) jointly organized the "Vietnam - Korea Bilateral Workshop: Exchanging effective models and practices supporting married migrant women and their families”. On August 27, 2021, the Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province deployed a support package of 3,800 food kits for women and children badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
