The Vietnam Women's Union has sent letters to thank international partners and friends for their special affection and words of encouragement in the face of the great loss of the Party, State, people of Vietnam and and the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Many international women’s organizations and partners sent letters and messages of condolence to the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) when hearing the news of the Passing of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong.

Hanoi, Viet Nam, June 11, 2024. “UN Women Viet Nam seeks comprehensive partnership with the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and making Viet Nam a role model for regional gender equality”, Ms. Caroline T. Nyamayemombe, Representative of UN Women Viet Nam shared in a working session with VWU President Ha Thi Nga.

A forum connecting female entrepreneurs of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia was held in Hanoi on July 5, with discussions focusing on green economy.

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man on July 4 hosted a reception for delegations of Lao and Cambodian women and female entrepreneurs who came to Hanoi for a forum connecting businesswomen of the three countries.

On May 6th, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Vice President of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) hosted a courtesy reception for a delegation from the Rally of Houphouëtists for Democracy and Peace (RHDP), the ruling Party of Côte d’Ivoire on a working visit to Vietnam.

Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union Ha Thi Nga received new Spanish Ambassador to Vietnam Carmen Cano De Lasala at the VWU head office, on April 1, 2024.

On the afternoon of April 8, Mrs. Ha Thi Nga, Member of the Party Central Committee, VWU President had a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Marc E. Knapper to share about women's empowerment, joint efforts to support the role of women in society and the workforce.

From April 17-28, 2025, the delegation of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) led by First Vice President Do Thi Thu Thao paid a working visit to the United States and Japan.

On April 5, Ms. Tran Lan Phuong, Vice President of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) had a meeting with Mr. Orlando Hernandez Guillen, the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam to discuss about the political and economic issues in Cuba.

On March 25, 2024, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) Tran Lan Phuong had a meeting with Ms. Inka Hopsu, member of the Finnish Parliament and Chairwoman of the Coalition of Finnish Women’s Associations. This meeting is on the occasion of the official visit to Vietnam of the Speaker and a high-ranking delegation of the Finnish Parliament.

On March 25, 2024, President of the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), Ha Thi Nga, on behalf of the Vietnam Women's Union, sent letters of condolences to its Russian partners over a terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow on the evening of March 22, 2024 (local time) that left many people dead and injured.

In the morning of March 25, 2024, the Center for Women and Development (CWD) launched the project “Accelerate My Business: Capacity building and support for women-led micro, small and growing businesses in Vietnam”.

The VWU has sent condolences to the family of Mrs. Merle Ratner, an anti -war activist in the US and a close friend of Vietnam and VWU, over her death.
