The Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) together with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) put into operation a one-stop service office for returning migrant women and their families (OSSO) in the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 13.

Sustainable employment and social security for female workers were the main topics of discussion at the meeting on March 25th between Ms. Ha Thi Nga - member of Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) - and Mr. Chang-Hee Lee, Country Director of International Labor Organization (ILO) in Vietnam.

In commemoration of the International Women’s Day and in contribution to Vietnam’s national five‐year review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation, the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), in collaboration with the United Nations in Vietnam (UN Vietnam) held a forum on SDGs in Ha Noi on the morning of March 10th, 2021.

NDO – Essential equipment and facilities worth around VND1.5 billion have been handed over to upgrade the hotlines and facilities of related social services and three Peace House shelters in Hanoi and Can Tho, aiming at supporting women and children suffering from gender-based violence amid COVID-19.

One-stop Service Offices for returning migrant women and their families (OSSO Offices) have been established within the framework of the Project "Strengthening the capacity of Vietnam to support sustainable reintegration for returning migrant women and their families".
