The Viet Nam Women’s Academy, in collaboration with the Australian People for Health, Education and Development Abroad (APHEDA), held an international scientific workshop in Ha Noi on February 9 under the theme “Enhancing Opportunities for Women Candidates to be Elected to People’s Councils at All Levels”.

On January 22, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong, Vice President of the Viet Nam Women’s Union (VWU) welcomed Ms. Camila María Polo Floréz, Ambassador of Colombia to Viet Nam to visit the VWU’s headquarter and held a working session to share goals and experiences in promoting gender equality.

The awards are part of the strategic partnership between the Việt Nam Women’s Union and UN Women, to create an environment conducive for gender equality, advance women’s empowerment, and end gender-based violence against women and girls in Việt Nam.

UNDP stands ready to support the Việt Nam Women’s Union in initiatives related to economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, women’s access to finance, policymaking, and gender equality.

On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, during her working visit to Vietnam, Chilean Deputy Foreign Minister Gloria De La Fuente and her delegation visited and worked with the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU).

On the morning of November 18, a high-ranking delegation from the Belarusian Women’s Union (BWU) led by its President Ms. Olga Aleksandrovna Shpilevskaya visited and worked with the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU). VWU President Nguyễn Thị Tuyến hosted the reception.

At the invitation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), a delegation of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), led by Vice President Nguyễn Thị Minh Hương, attended a training course “Capacity building for VWU on foreign affairs and international integration in Vietnam”. The program took place in Korea from October 26 to November 8, 2025, with 15 participants from the central and provincial VWU.

On November 4, 2025, Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, UN Women Country Representative in Vietnam, visited the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) and met with VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen to discuss partnership opportunities following VWU’s recent organizational restructuring.

On October 28, 2025, an ILO delegation led by Mr. Felix Weidenkaff, Acting Director of ILO Vietnam, visited the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) to discuss cooperation on gender equality and eliminating workplace violence and harassment. VWU Permanent Vice President Tran Lan Phuong welcomed the delegation.

Women in Vietnam and Belarus share similarities, including valuing peace, preserving family traditions and playing an active role in protecting women and children.

The Center for Community Welfare and Diversity (CWD) has officially become a member of the Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), according to Decision No. 2694/QĐ-BCT dated October 1, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

On the morning of October 15, 2025, the opening ceremony of capacity-building training for Lao Women’s Union officials took place at the Vietnam Women's Academy (VWA).

Vietnam is pursuing and enforcing policies that promote women’s full participation in economic, political, and social life, with national strategies on science and technology, enterprise development, education, and health giving high priority to women.

On October 3, a delegation from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) led by Representative Silvia Danailov paid a working visit to the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front (VFF). The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Nguyễn Thị Tuyến, Vice President of the VFF, and President of the Viet Nam Women’s Union (VWU).

Hanoi, October 3 – A delegation from Saint Petersburg, Russia, led by Mr. Grigoriev Evgeny, Member of the Saint Petersburg Government and Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, paid a visit to and held talks with the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU). The delegation was received by Ms. Trần Lan Phương, VWU’s Vice President.

From July 15 - 18, a VWU’s delegation comprising 13 members led by First Vice President Đỗ Thị Thu Thảo, participated in the 2025 Exchange and Cooperation forum on Women's Development with ASEAN at the invitation of the Women’s Federation of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

On the morning of June 23, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) in Hanoi, VWU Vice President Nguyen Thi Thu Hien hosted a meeting to receive the delegation from the Gender Equality and Family Committee of the National Assembly of the Korea, led by Ms. Lee In Seon, Chairperson of the Committee.

On May 21st, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Tuyến, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), warmly welcomes Ms. Nomvula Mokonyane, First Deputy Secretary General of the African National Congress (ANC) of the South Africa, and the high-level delegation during their visit and working session at the VWU's headquarter.

On May 12, 2025, Vientiane Women’s Union delegation led by its President, Ms. Lienkham Vilaphanh paid a courtesy visit to the VWU during their working trip to Hanoi.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), the Cambodian Women for Peace and Development sent a letter of congratulations to the Vietnam Women’s Union. On April 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union (WU) inaugurated the photo exhibition “The Beauty of Vietnamese and Belarusian Women” at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, District 1. The event is part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 April 30, 2025).

Ha Noi, April 27 – Mrs. Ishiba Yoshiko, spouse of Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru, visited the Vietnam Women’s Museum in Hanoi during her official trip to Vietnam. She was warmly welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union.

On the afternoon of April 24, 2025, VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen received Mr. Anders Johnsson, former Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and his spouse during their visit to Vietnam.

On the morning of April 4th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the member of the Party Central Committee, the President of the VWU, visited the Lao Embassy in Viet Nam to pay tribute to General Khamtay Siphandone, and wrote in the condolence book at the embassy.

On March 27, 2025, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg city, Russia co-organized an online seminar themed "Promoting the role of women and girls in science and technology". The event aimed to foster cooperation and experience-sharing between women of the two countries, encouraging greater participation of women in scientific and technological fields.

On April 21st, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), had a courtesy meeting with the Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam, Rogelio Polando Fuentes, on the occasion of his duty as Ambassador to Vietnam.

In 2024, the international relations of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) has been continuously promoted which helps affirming its role in the international arena.

On the morning of December 27, in Hanoi, Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) in collaboration with the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam launched the Kick-off and planning workshop for the EU-funded "Women-led Green Partnership" project. The project aims at women empowerment in decision making processes related to climate change adaptation and mitigation in Viet Nam.

VWU First Vice President Đỗ Thị Thu Thảo, expressed her pride in Vietnamese women living in South Korea and around the world.

At the General Assembly of the ASEAN Confederation of Women’s Organizations (ACWO) held in the Philippines, the high-level delegation of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), led by Vice President Trần Lan Phương, participated in significant activities and officially assumed the rotating chaimanship of ACWO for the 2025–2026 term.
