On July 2-3, 2021, on behalf of the Embassy of Belgium in Hanoi and the Vietnam Women’s Union, the Women’s Union of Ha Tinh sent a donation of sustainable rice to 2.000 vulnerable women - informal workers in 11 communes in Ha Tinh province and Ha Tinh city affected by Covid-19 (05kg per person).

Project “Promoting gender responsive financial inclusion through Vietnam Women’s Union” is a cooperation program between the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU).

That was one of the important contents of the meeting between Member of the Party Central Committee, VWU President Ha Thi Nga and Ambassador of Iran to Vietnam Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari on the morning of June 23.

On June 22nd 2021, Member of the Vietnam Party Central Committee, VWU President Ha Thi Nga met with the Cuban Ambassador Mr. Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen, who has just begun his post in Vietnam. Alongside with the Vietnam – Cuba ties, the women of the two countries always give each other the most sincere sentiments and support, Mrs. Nga said.

That was the theme of a webinar organized by ASEAN ACT with the participation of 400 delegates from 7 ASEAN countries on the afternoon of March 31st, 2021. Viet Nam joined the webinar at 3 venues (the VWU’s headquarter, Can Tho City and the People's Police Academy)

The Vietnamese Government, the Government of Australia, and several United Nations agencies (UNFPA, UNICEF and UN Women) are committed to working together and calling for more joint efforts to end violence against women and children.

In January, 2021, the Project Management Board held a workshop to review the project implementation in 2020 and work out the project plan for 2021 with the participation of leader representatives of Plan Vietnam, People's Committee, education sector, and Women's Union in the two project provinces. VWU Vice President Tran Thi Huong attended the Workshop.

The Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) together with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) put into operation a one-stop service office for returning migrant women and their families (OSSO) in the northern port city of Hai Phong on April 13.

Sustainable employment and social security for female workers were the main topics of discussion at the meeting on March 25th between Ms. Ha Thi Nga - member of Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) - and Mr. Chang-Hee Lee, Country Director of International Labor Organization (ILO) in Vietnam.

In commemoration of the International Women’s Day and in contribution to Vietnam’s national five‐year review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) implementation, the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), in collaboration with the United Nations in Vietnam (UN Vietnam) held a forum on SDGs in Ha Noi on the morning of March 10th, 2021.
