Since assuming the post of the first director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Vietnam more than four years ago, Rose Marie Greve has made active contributions to the issues of labour, jobs and struggle against trafficking in woman and children in Vietnam.

In the morning of 1 April 2008, at the Headoffice of Vietnam Women’s Union, Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, member of the Central Party’s Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, received the Ambassador of South Africa in Viet Nam, Mr.Ratubatshi Super Moloi.

On 20 March, Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, member of the Central Party’s Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, received Mr. Eiffle Ben-Matiyau, Ambassador of Israel to Vietnam.

In the morning of 29 March, the delegation of Cuban Women’s Federation leaded by Ms. Surina Acosta Brooks, member of Cuban State council, member of Cuban Women’s Federation’s Secretariat, General Secretary of Santiago de Cuba provincial Women’s Federation, visited Vietnam Women’s Union on the occasion of its visit to Vietnam from 28 March to 2 April, 2008. In the afternoon of 31st, March, Mme. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, member of the Central Party’s Committee, President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, warmly welcomed the Chinese Entrepreneur delegation at the Headquarter of the Vietnam Women’s Union in Hanoi on the occasion of the delegation’s working visit to Vietnam.

UNAIDS Viet Nam representative, Eamonn Murphy has delivered a special message for men for International Women’s Day that falls today.

A series of activities will be organised from November 10-December 10 by the Vietnam HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Department in response to World AIDS Day.
