Programme empowers women in remote border areas and strengthens people based national defence
he ‘Accompanying Women in Border Areas’ programme, launched in 2018 by the Viet Nam Women’s Union in partnership with the Border Guard High Command, has delivered practical support to women and children in remote border regions. It has spread humanitarian and compassionate values across communities, consolidated the great national unity bloc, and reinforced a strong people-based border defence. -
Action month for gender equality and gender-based violence prevention launched
The action month for gender equality and tackling gender-based violence runs annually from November 15 to December 15. Orange is chosen as the colour of the global campaign to end gender-based violence because it is bright and brings hope to women and children affected by violence and those working in the field. -
The Center for Community Welfare and Diversity Officially Becomes a Member of the Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EVFTA Framework
The Center for Community Welfare and Diversity (CWD) has officially become a member of the Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) under the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), according to Decision No. 2694/QĐ-BCT dated October 1, 2025, issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. -

In recent years, Ms. Bùi Linh Huệ (born in 1983) - a member of the Women’s Union branch in Ấm Hamlet, Văn Nghĩa Commune, Phú Thọ Province - has been recognized as an outstanding example of determination in overcoming poverty and building a better life. At the same time, she has also created jobs for many local women. -
Vietnam Women’s Union holds nationwide training on women’s economic development
HANOI, Aug 12 — The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) has organized a two-day nationwide training program on women’s economic development and entrustment operations in 2025. The event, held in person at VWU headquarters and online with more than 5,000 access points, including 34 provincial WUs and 3,321 communal WUs. -

Decision 2282/QD-TTg (Dec 31, 2020) approves the 2021–2030 Program to enhance women’s equal participation in leadership. Targets: by 2025, 60% of state agencies/local authorities have key female leaders (75% by 2030); at least 40% of female cadres in leadership planning by 2025 (50% by 2030). -
Overview of the research situation of the Ministry-level and Academy-level topics of the Vietnam Women’s Academy and its contributions to society
According to the list of scientific research topics at the ministerial and academy levels, Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) has implemented many topics with diverse content and fields. Specifically, in 2024, the Academy has 17 scientific research topics with classifications such as: 10 topics under the key program, 7 technology transfer topics, including 4 ministerial-level topics and 3 project survey topics. -
Project 8: Scaling up to ensure “No One Left Behind”
