On the sidelines of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, Ms. Ha Thi Nga - President of the Vietnam Women's Union - gave an interview to the World and Viet Nam Report

The Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) Central Committee, in coordination with the Hanoi People’s Committee and the Capital Regiment (308th Infantry Division), launched a tree planting festival in Hanoi on February 20, in the presence of Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai.

Just before the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays, the Covid-19 outbreak returns and rapidly spreading in some provinces, affecting the spring welcoming atmosphere of the people nationwide. With the desire to spread safety message and positive thinking to encourage the whole country in fighting the epidemic, the Vietnamese Women's Museum has responded to the prevention campaign with motto "5K + 1 = 6 No" through pictures.

Since the beginning of 2021, joining hands with the government and the whole society in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels has many practical support activities such as providing basic necessities, Tet gifts, medical materials for quarantine areas and duty posts, ect.

From January 8th to 10th, 2021, a delegation from the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), led by its President Ha Thi Nga, visited, presented gifts to, and organized events "Tet of Love" for VWU members and women in Quang Nam and Quang Ngai provinces on the occasion of the coming Vietnamese Lunar New Year (Tet).

On December 26, 2020 in Thanh Hoa province, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Border Guards Command organized a review conference of the Program “Supporting for women in border and island areas” in the 2018-2020 period.

After two intensive working days, the 10th session of the VWU’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) tenure XII was successfully concluded on the afternoon of December 25, 2020

There is a number of new provisions in the VWU’s draft amended and supplemented Constitution. Accordingly, Article 3, Clause 2 states "People with prestige and influence, who support women's movements and VWU activities, agree with the VWU’s Constitution and voluntarily join the organization, are recognized as honorary members".

NDO – ‘Len Thanh Pho’ (Making our Place), a short documentary on women migrants in Hanoi, has won The Best Next Gen Award at the 2020 Better Cities Film Festival which was recently held in the US.
