Women Nationwide Celebrate 80th National Day with Folk Dances

On August 30, 2025, women across Vietnam staged mass folk dance performances at cultural and historical landmarks nationwide, celebrating the 80th National Day with songs honoring the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the homeland.

In Lao Cai: Over 1,000 women join a mass folk dance at Lao Cai’s central square.

In Thai Nguyen: Over 1,000 women in traditional ao dai joined a parade and folk dance in Song Cong, Thai Nguyen Province.

In Ho Chi Minh City: over 170,000 people joined mass folk dances across 168 wards and communes in Ho Chi Minh City, including men, students, and teachers.

In Dak Lak: 500 women in Ea Kar, Dak Lak, performed vibrant folk dances in red-and-gold outfits

In Nghe An, women’s union chapters staged mass folk dances in response to the national movement.

In Da Nang, women’s unions held mass folk dances to mark the 80th National Day, showcasing the energy and confidence of Vietnamese women today.
