The Vietnam Women’s Union organized a regional training workshop in Quang Ninh Province on May 7th - 8th, 2026 with the participation of leaders and officials of the Women’s Union from 15 Northern provinces and cities so as to strengthen the capacity of Women’s Union cadres in supporting women’s economic development, start-up, and access to inclusive finance in the context of digital transformation.

Việt Nam’s labour market is entering an accelerated transition under digitalisation and AI. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO), about 11.5 million workers - one in five - are in jobs potentially affected by GenAI.

During the event, more than 100 delegates, including representatives from ministries, sectors, international organisations, business associations and women entrepreneurs’ networks, affirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs).

Many women have boldly started businesses, established cooperatives and production facilities, creating jobs for hundreds of workers, mainly local women.
