UN Women boosts cooperation with Vietnam Women’s Union to support women entrepreneurs
On November 4, 2025, Ms. Caroline Nyamayemombe, UN Women Country Representative in Vietnam, visited the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) and met with VWU President Nguyen Thi Tuyen to discuss partnership opportunities following VWU’s recent organizational restructuring. -
Project empowers women entrepreneurs to tap into global e-commerce market
Overall, more than 600 women-led enterprises benefited from the project’s training, while 13 partner organisations enhanced their expertise in supporting women in e-commerce. Between June and September 2025, the 32 participating firms recorded over 455,000 buyer searches and 85,000 page views, indicating increased visibility and growing confidence in the global digital marketplace. -
Gov’t aims to have 30 per cent women-owned enterprises by 2030
The project will support 8,000 women-owned start-up enterprises and cooperatives to restructure and consolidate with an aim to improve and enhance the capacity of members. -

The event, held in person at VWU headquarters and online with more than 5,000 access points, including 34 provincial WUs and 3,321 communal WUs. -
