  • Gender Equality in Education and the Role of Women Leaders in Higher Education Institutions

    Decision 2282/QD-TTg (Dec 31, 2020) approves the 2021–2030 Program to enhance women’s equal participation in leadership. Targets: by 2025, 60% of state agencies/local authorities have key female leaders (75% by 2030); at least 40% of female cadres in leadership planning by 2025 (50% by 2030).
  • Overview of the research situation of the Ministry-level and Academy-level topics of the Vietnam Women’s Academy and its contributions to society

    According to the list of scientific research topics at the ministerial and academy levels, Vietnam Women’s Academy (VWA) has implemented many topics with diverse content and fields. Specifically, in 2024, the Academy has 17 scientific research topics with classifications such as: 10 topics under the key program, 7 technology transfer topics, including 4 ministerial-level topics and 3 project survey topics.
  • Further collaboration to promote Vietnamese and Russian women’s engagement in science and technology

    On March 27, 2025, the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg city, Russia co-organized an online seminar themed "Promoting the role of women and girls in science and technology". The event aimed to foster cooperation and experience-sharing between women of the two countries, encouraging greater participation of women in scientific and technological fields.
  • President of Vietnam Women’s Union congratulates the first Vietnamese-origin woman in space

    Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen, the President of the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU), has extended her heartfelt congratulations and pride to Ms. Amanda Nguyen, the first Vietnamese - origin woman descent to journey into space, affirming that this historic milestone highlights the brilliance and talent of the Vietnamese people in general and the Vietnamese women in particular, both in the United States and globally.
  • Developing technology-applied flexible learning models to expand women’s access to knowledge

    On the afternoon of April 16, 2025, to promote the results of the Joint Program on strengthening learning promotion, talent encouragement, and building a learning society for the 2017–2020 period between the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) and the Vietnam Association for Learning Promotion (VALP), the two organizations held a signing ceremony to continue the Joint Program for the 2025–2030 period.
  • Resolution 57-NQ/TW: Transformative Policies to Empower Scientists and Drive Innovation

    On December 22, 2024, Party General Secretary To Lam signed and promulgated Resolution 57-NQ/TW (Resolution 57) of the Politburo, towards breakthroughs in national science-technology development, innovation, and digital transformation. Emphasizing that scientists are pivotal actors, Resolution 57 introduces numerous incentive mechanisms and grants scientists greater autonomy, thereby motivating their creativity and dedication.
  • The Kovalevskaia Award 2024 has been presented to two outstanding female individuals for their excellence in scientific research and practical applications

    As part of the program where Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính met with female Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, female Labor Heroes, and female generals on the morning of March 8, the Vietnam Women's Union also organized the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Kovalevskaia Award (1985-2025) and the Kovalevskaia Award 2024 Ceremony.
  • PM hails women’s contributions to society, national development

    According to the Prime Minister, Vietnam is one of the countries that has achieved the Millennium Development Goal on gender equality and women's empowerment ahead of schedule. In 2024, it ranked 72nd out of 146 countries in the global gender equality index. Notably, the proportion of female deputies in Vietnam’s 2021-2026 National Assembly stands at 30.26%, a high level compared to other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Hung Yen Women's Union launches model to attract members through social

    The Women's Union of Hung Yen province launched a model to attract members on the cyberspace called “My Hao Women in New Era”.
  • Supporting women in the digital transformation process

    There are many benefits that digital transformation can bring to women, especially vulnerable groups of women, such as the ability to access information, access markets, and social services. From there, women have the opportunity to improve their knowledge, professional skills and opportunities for self-development.
