VWU Leader receives Marie Schlei Association Delegation-Germany
At the meeting, Prof. Christa Randzio Plath appreciated VWU efforts in implementing the projects funded by the MSA in seven provinces/cities with impressive results in creating jobs and generating extra income for women, thus helping women to have a more stable life, in contribution to reduce the rate of poor, nearly poor households and households in difficulties in the project localities.Prof. Randzio confirmed that the MSA would continue cooperating with the VWU to promote the gained project results and showed her expectation that the VWU would make further efforts in the implementation of the current activities and the new ones in the coming years as well.
Appreciating the interest of the MSA, especially of Prof. Christa Randzio Plath personally, in supporting Vietnamese women over the past years, VWU Vice President Nguyen Thi Tuyet believed and expressed her desire for a continuation of cooperation and support from the MSA and Prof. Christa Randzio Plath for VWU activities in women’s economic empowerment through on-site jobs creation in order to minimize the number of women leaving home to work faraway…
Since 1999, the MSA has provided funding for the VWU to implement eight development projects on vocational trainings and loans provision for women. on this working visit, the MSA took field trips to Son Tay and Quang Binh to evaluate two projects on safe vegetable farming and establishment of cooperative groups on conical hat making and poultry raising.
