VWU Full Moon Festival for Vietnamese and international kids

In the joyful atmosphere of the 2005 Full Moon festivities in Vietnam, on the evening of 17 Sep. 2005, a Full Moon Festival was jointly organized by the Vietnam Women’s Museum and Hanoi International Women’s Club for Vietnamese and international children.

Joining the kids were Mme. Ha Thi Khiet - VWU President, Chairwoman of the National Committee for the Advancement of Women, Mme. Truong Thi Khue - VWU Vice-president, representatives from various agencies, diplomatic corps in Hanoi and hundreds of young kids coming from local kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and the Hanoi International School.

 

The program was started with colorful and impressive performances by local and international kids. It was followed by fun games so lively with the sounds of drum and the kids’ cheering. The Festival was concluded with a traditional lion dance and the sharing of Full Moon delicacies.

 

Along with a traditional toy exhibition, this Festival was a chance for Vietnamese and international kids to play and enjoy themselves together as a sign of peace, friendship and solidarity.
