Vietnamese Women’s Museum receives Top Vietnam Attraction Award 2017

On July 8th 2017, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum (VWM) was honored to add to the podium of laurels, cups , and awards, the certificate “Top Vietnam Attraction Award of 2017”, which was presented by the representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is the third time the VWM has been distinguished by receiving the award for its continuous efforts to improve the service provided and the experience, for the increased numbers of visitors to the museum. Seven attractions were honored this year including the VWM, the Vietnam Ethnology Museum, Literature Temple, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hue Royal Imperial, Cu Chi Tunnel, and Love Valley in Lam Dong Province.
 
The ceremony was honoured with the presence of Mr. Vu Duc Dam, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the State Steering Committee o­n Tourism, and representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as well as awardees.
 
At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam raised the achievements of tourism sectors and service industry in 2017, especially the eight-rank increase in the global tourism competitiveness from 75 to 67/136. Nevertheless, he stressed that this rank is still at an average level, those who tourist makers need to see their mission and burden to increase their creativity with more determination. He also emphasized the goal of helping people improve their lives by developing the tourism industry, and spreading the cultural values to the world as well as creating good conditions for sustainable tourism development, so that visitors can experience the simple and rustic culture they expect. That is the meaningful sharing orientation for the units’ operations in general, the VWM in particular. 
 
Three times in a row receiving the title “Top Vietnam Attraction Award 2017” , in addition to maintaining the rankings in the national and international museum ranking list, the museum has continued to confirm the quality of contents and service as well satisfying visitors’ need.
