Vietnam Women's Union

The event was organized by DB Insurance (Korea) in coordination with PTI (Vietnam) with the aim of promoting cultural exchanges between Vietnam and Korea, and contributing to enrich the spiritual life of Vietnamese people living in Korea. It was also marked particularly by the “Message of Love” which has been initiated to help the needy families of Vietnamese brides to reunite. Through the introduction and support of the Vietnam Women's Union,, the program has sponsored two mothers from Hai Phong City and Hau Giang Province to visit their daughters in Korea for the first time after nearly 10 years of getting married with Koreans.

The festival brought to the audiencethe Vietnamese traditional “Ao dai” and Korean Hanbok shows, and many special art performances of artists from the two countries. Representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Korea and the Korea Tourism Organization also attended.

During her stay in Korea, First Vice-President Hoang Thi Ai Nhien paid a visit to the Multicultural Families Support Center of Nam-gu District Incheon City, to learn about itssocio-cultural and community support activities and services for 2,500 multicultural families of 36 countries, who are living and working in the district, including more than 400 Korean - Vietnamese families. She also visited the Vietnamese Cultural Center in Korea, which was established since 2017 with the purpose of supporting the promotion and introduction of Vietnamese culture to Korean people through food festivals, Ao dai shows, leisure/homestay travel...

The visit shows the attention and care of the VWU to the overseas Vietnamese women community and contributes to enhancing the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea.
