Vietnam Women's Union

The contest aims at promoting the World Environment Day 2021 with the theme "Restoring the Ecosystem" through specific and practical actions which help raise awareness and action towards the building of a green, clean and beautiful environment.

The contest also encourages creative ideas of environmental protection projects conducted by local WUs to celebrate the 13th National Vietnamese Women’s Congress to be held next year.

The contest is to be held online due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Time: From June 1 to July 20, 2021

Participants: the WUs and its affiliated units at all levels.

The contest has 2 rounds:

Qualifying round “Challenge for the environment”
Final round “Women are part of the solution”

Entries take the form of articles, photo albums (with captions), infographics, storytelling, short films, videos or clips, etc.

Requirement: Entries must be of good quality, focusing on the right topic and carrying clear messages. They should conform with traditional fine customs and refrain from offensive images and content, copyright infringement, and law and regulation violation. It is prohibited to borrow wholly or partly from other pieces on the mass media and fanpages. The use of other people's images should be permitted by the author and cite the source.

Entries are to have captions on topics and the name of the author’s organization.

Here are some specific technical requirements for different types of participation:

+ Articles: no more than 300 words in length.

+ Infographic: The text is easy to read and has illustrations or diagrams.

+ Images: clear and sharp with captions

+ Clip: Clear and smooth sound and images. Presenters or introducers (if any) should have standard and clear pronunciation and polite attire. Duration: no more than 5 minutes/clip, size: no more than 500Mb.

Finalist works must be upgraded on the basis of the entries submitted in the qualifying round (if to be developed from the qualifying round idea). For new ideas, the entries should have creativity, originality and feasibility.

Prizes:

+ Entries submitted to the Central VWU will receive Certificates of the VWU Presidium

+ Top prizes include 01 Special Prize, 02 First Prizes, 03 Second Prizes, and several Third Prizes.
