Vietnam, US mark 10 years of diplomatic ties

So far, Vietnam-US relations develop strongly in all fields. The Vietnam-US relationship has developed rapidly in various fields and brought many benefits to the two nations’ future

Bilateral trade last year reached US$6.4 billion, or six times higher than in 2000 when both countries signed the Bilateral Trade Agreement. Such relationship will further develop in the near future, especially following the recent visit to the US by Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, the first of its kind by a Vietnamese leader. Analysts said Mr Khai’s week-long visit to the US was successful, opening a new chapter in relations between Vietnam and the US.
