Vietnam and Argentina highlight cultural co-operation

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Van An praised Vietnam's and Argentina's cultural and educational co-operation, which, he said, helped promote mutual understanding and friendship.




Receiving Poldi Sosa, President of the Argentinean Cultural Institute (ICAP) in Buenos Aires o­n March 11, Chairman An said that the Argentinean cultural institute and the Vietnamese cultural sector should continue strengthening the two countries' cultural and educational agreement.

Mme Poldi Sosa recalled vivid profound impressions of the Vietnamese land, people and culture during her visits to Vietnam. She pledged to do her utmost to help improve the mutual understanding and friendship.


The same day, Chairman An visited the Anthropological Museum, at National La Plata University, the fifth biggest nature museum in the world.


During their stay in Argentina, members of the Vietnamese National Assembly delegation also worked with relevant Argentinean agencies o­n social and ethnic minority affairs, and cultural issues. Trang A Pao, Chairman of the NA Council of Ethnic Minorities, worked with the Board for ethnic minorities of the Argentinean Presidential Palace; Nguyen Hoai Thu, Chairman of the NA Committee for Social Affairs worked with the Argentinean Vice Chairman in charge of policies, social affairs and human development of the Social Development Ministry and Poldi Sosa, ICAP President; and Vietnam News Agency General Director Le Quoc Trung worked with Vice Chairman Felipe Yapur of the Argentinean Telam News Agency. Chairman of the NA Committee for External Affairs also worked with the Chairman of the External Relations Committee of the Argentinean Chamber of Deputies.


Chairman An and his entourage concluded their visit to Argentina o­n March 12.
