USA does not carry out treaty and Popular Korea refuses the presence of IAEA

The Ministry of External Relations from the Democratic Popular Republic of Korea has announced the decision of suspending the activities for dismantlement of nuclear activities in the country.

At a declaration to the nation o­n the 26th of August, the spokesman of the Ministry affirmed that the decision was based o­n the refusal of the USA to carry out the treaty signed last December 3rd among North Korea, USA, China, Russia, Japan and South Korea. The treaty foresee the denuclearization conditioned to the withdraw of the country from the list of countries under economical blockade.

 

Last Wednesday, 24th, employees from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the organism responsible for supervise the implementation of the treaty, have become public that North Korea “declared that, from now o­n, the IAEA inspector will no longer have access to the reprocessing  plant.

 

According to Melissa Fleming, IAEA spokeswoman, “there are no more seals or surveillance equipments at the reprocessing unity (of plutonium)”. The 100 seals and from 20 to 25 cameras were removed from the place.

 

The decision was a logic product  of North American infidelity to the principle of “action and reaction” stipulated in a combined declaration at September 19th, the 13th of February treaty and the 3rd of October o­ne” affirmed the North Korea Ministry of External Relations spokesman. The ministry also announced that “all efforts have been taken so that to return the nuclear unity in Nyongbyon to its original state”.
