US names streets after Vietnamese heroes
American authorities have decided to name streets in Houston city after 18 legendary Vietnamese figures, a unique event in US history.
The streets are located in the Vietnamese community in Truong Trong Trac, chief editor of the “Ngay Nay” (Today) Vietnamese newspaper and one of the first Vietnamese to arrive in A “Vietnamese heritage park” featuring the Ngoc Lu bronze drum symbol is to be opened to the public by the end of 2005 providing place for overseas Vietnamese to celebrate traditional lunar new year. |
