Training Courses on “Leadership, Management and the Media” for the Senior Officers of VWU

To enhance the capacity of VWU’s senior officers in the period of widely and deeply international integration after Vietnam has become an official member of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the Central Vietnam Women’s Union together with the Israel Embassy in Vietnam and the International Cooperation Center of the Israel Foreign Affair Department organized 2 training courses on “Leadership, Management and the Media” in Ho Chi Minh City (from 30/7 to 3/8/2007) and in Hanoi (from 6-10/8/2007).

Trainers of the courses were 2 experts from Israel, Doctor Hanita Zimrin (Founder and President of Children Protection Association – The first Israeli women received PhD on Social Work) and Doctor on Political Sciences and International Relations, Professor Sondra M. Rubenstein of Communication Department of Haifa University - Israel. The training courses drew the attention and interests of a lot of participants who are leaders of provincial/city women’s union and trainers from the Central Women’s School.

The training courses equipped participants with knowledge and skills on management, decision making, financial and personnel management, crisis management, collecting information and using media in management… which are very useful for VWU’s activities in coming terms.

This is the first cooperation between VWU and the Israel Embassy in Vietnam.
