Training course on capacity-building for staff on implementing the representative function of Son La Women’s Unions.

 At the training class, trainees had the opportunity to study and discuss in depth the representative function of Vietnam Women’s Union; skills of communication and dissemination of laws and policies for women; skills of social counter-argument o­n laws’ formulation and supervision of implementation of policies and laws o­n gender equality; the procedure to deal with complaints; proposing policies and laws.

Through the training class, women cadres of Son La Women’s Unions are equipped with more knowledge to implement better their function and tasks, especially the skills to deal with specific matters within their responsibility.

This is the first time Son La provincial and district Women’s Unions are trained o­n the above contents. Right after the training class, the VWU mission had a visit to Phieng Khoai commune (Yen Chau district) and Muong Bon commune (Mai Son district) to conduct trainings for Women’s Union cadres of 2 communes as a show-case for the province.
