The Vietnamese Women’s Museum joining in the Yeongwol International Museum Forum

From September 14th to 16th, the Vietnamese Women’s Museum took part in the Yeongwol International Museum Forum, 2017, which is held at Yeongwol District in the north of Korea. Yeongwol District is known as a “District of Outdoor Museums” because it has many small and beautiful museums amidst natural beauty which annually attracts more than 1,500,000 domestic and overseas visitors. Since the government designated it “A District Museum” in 2008, Yeongwol has organized the International Museum Forum. The 2017 International Museum Forum is the 5th forum which to have been held with the main theme “Sustainability of Community and Future Museums”
All participants from the overseas museums were invited to discuss three main themes as follow: 
1) Platforms for Living Together in a Global Society: Mega-sports and Museum;
2) The 4th Industrial Revolution of Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Museums;
3) Innovation and Sustainability of Small Museums
 
The representative of the Vietnamese Women’s Museum, Director Nguyen Thi Bich Van brought to the 2017 Yeongwol International Museum Forum the key note speech “The Vietnamese Women’s Museum – Journey of Innovation” in which she mentioned the 30 years of innovation by redefining the museum’s identity for the development orientation, building the museum values for the society, the development of the museum’s internal strength, the external attractiveness, as well as defining the strategies in depth. 
 
The forum took place in an open and friendly atmosphere. Delegates exchanged experiences, ideas, difficulties, and challenges as well as sharing their dreams based o­n the forum’s theme “Sustainability of Community and Future Museum”. This is a chance for museums of the world in general and the Vietnamese Women’s in particular to enhance cooperation, exchange and promote the heritage of the countries.
