The Vietnam Women’s Union sent its message of condolences to the women in Myanmar

Message of condolences

To: Myanmar Women’s Affairs Federation

 The Vietnamese people and women are extremely shocked and deeply touched by the enormous damages o­n people and properties to the people in Myanmar caused by the recent Nargis Cyclone. This horrible Cyclone has caused dead and missing to over hundred thousands people, of whom many are women and children. Hundreds of thousands people are losing their houses, threatened by diseases, and facing extreme difficulties..

Together with the Vietnamese Party, Government and people, the Vietnam Women’s Union would like to extend our solidarity, sincere sympathy and profound condolences to the people in Myanmar who are coping with such sufferings.

We do believe that the Myanmar Government and people, with the support and assistance of the international communities, are sparing no efforts to take prompt actions to deal with the Cyclone aftermath. We also do hope that people, women and children in Myanmar will overcome all difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
