To help women in flooded areas overcome damage after natural calamity , the VWU’s Presidium sent 75 million VND to 7 most affected provinces and cities (including 15 million VND for Hanoi; 10 million VND for Nghe An, Ninh Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hoa Binh, Ha Tinh, and Thai Nguyen). o­ne part of the supporting budget came from the staff of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union and the rest came from Union’s activity fund. Although this amount of money is not huge, it shows the responsibility, mutual affection and love of the Central Vietnam Women’s Union towards Union’s staff, members and people in flood-hit ereas.

The Presidium also guided the Women’s Union of provinces and cities to cooperate closely with authorities, sectors and localities in order to visit and encourage famillies of victims and organize practical activities to help them overcome damage by flood and resume their normal live.
