The Ho Chi Minh Women's Union visited and presented gifts to the victims of the Storm No 9 in Can Gio district

The delegation encouraged and presented gifts (each was worth of 1 million VND) to 5 women in Tam Thon Hiep and Long Hoa communes whose husbands or children have disappeared after the storm. Among these women was Mrs. Phan Thi Thanh Tam, in group 9, An Loc hamlet, Tam Thon Hiep commune. Her husband has disappeared; her family is seriously facing difficulties because she sews shoses' caps as the o­nly seasonal work to bring up her two little children and take care her paralytic old parents.

On this occasion Mrs. Le Thi Hien, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Department of Family - Social Affairs, Ho Chi Minh Women's Union presented women and children of the district 100 packages of instant noodles and 1000 white shirts which were the presents of the Program "My old shirts-Your bright shirts" launched by Bright Viso - a soap branch.
