05/06/2008
The Vice State President has requested the Ministry of Health continue expanding the provision of health insurance to children living with HIV/AIDS at a time when the rate of HIV child carriers in the country is on the rise.

Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan made the request while attending an artistic performance reserved for those disadvantaged children held in Hanoi on June 1.

In the event, the Ministry of Health handed health insurance cards to 15 child patients of HIV/AIDS and donors raised more than 36 billion VND for the Vietnam Fund for Support of Children.

Children infected with HIV/AIDS enjoyed rare happy moments with their peers watching circus, magic tricks, dancing and singing performances at the event.
