Seven foreign cities to attend 1000th Thang Long–Hanoi anniversary

 The seven cities, namely Tokyo (Japan), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Bangkok (Thailand), Beijing (China), Seoul (South Korea), Jakarta (Indonesia) and Taipei (Taiwan), expressed their warm support for this plan at the 8^th CPTA annual meeting in Tokyo last week.

At this meeting, Hanoi, a CPTA member, introduced the 1000^th great anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi and the National Tourism Year 2010 and called for the participation of members.

The two above events were noted in the conference’s memorandum of understanding and they will be widely advertised in member countries and o­n CPTA’s website.

Among activities to prepare for the 1000^th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary, the government approved a state-funded film project about Hanoi, entitled “Long Thanh Cam Gia Ca”.

The movie script by Van Le won first prize in the script writing contest. His film is named “Studying and Following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh and the 1000^th Thang Long – Hanoi anniversary”.
