The Russian Government on April 18 presented Vietnam with a number of documents on the relations between the former Soviet Union and Vietnam.

The documents, which include agreements, declarations, letters and photos dating from between 1965-1987, expressed the support from the Government and people of the former Soviet Union to Vietnam's anti-US resistance war and for its national construction.

Representatives from the Russian General Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City handed over the documents to HCM City's War Remnants Museum in the presence of workers from the Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint- Venture (Vietsovpetro) and pupils from the Russian Secondary School in Vung Tau City.

Russian Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Nikolai D. Ubushiev said that the presence of Russian pupils at the ceremony showed the interest of Russia's young generation in the development of friendship between the two countries.
