These are remarkable numbers that Ho Chi Minh Women’s Union has achieved thanks to continuously determination and effort in vocational training, job introduction for women in the last 5 years (2002 – 2007).
With plentiful and practical forms, the Municipal, District Union’s Vocational Training Centers always catch the practical demand of women to research, learn and find new ways and diversify forms of vocational training so that women can arrange the convenient time to attend the class. For example, Vo Gap District Women’s Union coordinated with the District Women Enterprise Club to organize “Employment Festival” in order to help enterprises recruit women employees. By organizing employment fair, the District Women’s Union has generated jobs for more than 200 women employees.
Moreover, Women’s Union at all levels has also introduced 8.497 women to work oversea . From 1996, the City Women’s Newspaper with the page “Women Labor and Employment” hascreated job opportunities for 12.000 needy women…
Thanks to the constant effort and achieved results, Ho Chi Minh Women’s Union has made contribution to reduce the unemployment rate of the city from 6.7% to below 6% in 2007.
