Press Conference on the Tenth National Women’s Congress (2-4 October 2007)

According to Madam Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Member of Party Central Committee, Vice-President of the Vietnam Women’s Union, the Tenth National Women’s Congress of the Vietnam Women’s Union will be taken place from 2-4 October 2007 at the My Dinh National Conference Center with the particiaption of 1,200 women delegates from various levels/branches and all over the country and about 300 invitees. The main theme of the Congress will be “Vietnamese women in unity, creativeness, equality and progress contributing to enhace the cause of national renovation”.

The Congress will review the implementation of the Resolution set forth by the Nineth National Women’s Congress, at the same time decide the objectives and tasks of the women’s movement and the direction of activities of VWUperiod 2007-2012. In addition, the Congress will elect the members to Executive Committee and adopt the Statue of VWU of this period

Many supportive activities will be organized to promote Vietnamese Women’s achievements and status in all fields such as: the National Conference to promote outstanding women exemplary of the Renovation, exhibition o­n Vietnam Women’s Union through its previous National Congresses”, publication o­n outstanding Vietnamese women, communication programs o­n radio, television and other mass media./
