President of Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa received Cuban Ambassador Fredesmán Turró González

President of VWU Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa in the afternoon of September 11 received Cuban Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Fredesmán Turró González who came to pay courtesies on the occasion of his return to Vietnam to resume for the second term as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Vietnam.

The Ambassador expressed his happiness to return to Vietnam seeing changes of Vietnam during the past 4 years. He expressed his close sympathy with the country and the Vietnamese people, especially his admiration of the Vietnamese women’s noble virtues since the last 40 years that he has studied and worked in Vietnam. The Ambassador also informed briefly about damage and losses which the Cuban people and women have suffered due to the recent fierce storms.

President of VWU Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa showed her pleasure to welcome the Ambassador to the VWU. She also shared the difficulties and losses caused by natural calamities to the Cuban people.

On this occasion, President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa also announced the activities of the VWU, especially the campaign “The women actively study, innovatively work and build happy family” campaign launched by the VWU and the VWU’s participation at the national motivation of “Learning and doing after the virtue of late President Ho Chi Minh”.

Ambassador Fredesmán Turró González asserted that he would try his best to fulfill his assignment, contributing to the development of special relationship between Cuba and Vietnam, especially the Women’s Unions of the 2 countries.
