President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa visited and presented to staffs, female members affected by the storm #6 in Bac Giang Province
Visiting staffs, members’ families whose houses collapsed at Nam Duong, My An communes, Luc Ngan district where suffered heavy losses of farm produce, properties, President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa gave her regards, shared and encouraged women to overcome difficulties quickly, stabilize life. The President reminded staffs, members, women of displaying the spirit of mutual love and affection,… together with executive committees, authorities, unions of all levels, community supporting, assisting the damaged families to rebuild houses, restore production soon.
At Luc Ngan district, President Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa exchanged with the district leaders, the district women’s union about repairing the consequences of the storm. According to the district’s report, there were 2 people died, 1,500 houses flooded, 3,000 ha fruits heavy affected, 49,500 cattle, poultry killed…; the total losses was estimated 400 billion. As for Nam Duong commune, the loss was 50 billion; My An commune was 11 billion. The storm made thousands of families fall into hunger because reserve food was wet and swept away by the floods. With the urgent assistance of the province, the district provided each heavy damaged family with 5 million to rebuild the house collapsed, 10 kg rice, instant noodle. The district also mobilized the military forces, police forces, offices, boards and organizations gathered to clean environment sanitation, raise temporarily places for families whose houses collapsed to live, especially the district did not allow to make the pupils give up their studies because of traffic jam, hunger. According to district party committee secretary Giap Van Tri, the district intended to rebuild full collapsed houses for the families under the common, stable model. VWU of all levels mobilized each staff, member to collect, back at least 1 day salary to help the damaged families.
