05/01/2006
An Overseas Vietnamese Club for Science and Technology made its debut at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 28 with a six-member executive board.

As a non-profit organisation, the club aims to promote overseas Vietnamese intellectuals' contributions to the development and application of advanced sci-tech in the city and Vietnam. It will also act as a bridge between scientists working in Vietnam and abroad.

The club has 109 initial members, most of them experts in economics, information technology, and the sciences working in Germany, the US, France, Japan and Australia. (VNA)
