Over 5,400 Vietnamese heroic mothers taken care of
Over 5,400 Vietnamese heroic mothers are provided with care by agencies, organisations, enterprises and individuals.
Each of them now receives a support of between VND 300,000 and 500,000 per month, a rise from what they received from VND 200,000 per month.
In addition, Vietnamese heroic mothers are presented with gifts and medical check and treatment services on such special occasions as the Day for War Invalids and Martyrs or the New Year festival.
Since 1995, around 47,000 mothers of martyrs have been recognised as Vietnamese heroic mothers. Around 10,000 were cared for by agencies, organisations, enterprises and individuals.
Furthermore, over 60,000 people, who are relatives of war invalids and martyrs, have also been provided support.
