Nguyen Phu Trong re-elected Party General Secretary

Accordingly, the first plenum of the 12th PCC elected the Politburo, the Party General Secretary, the PCC Secretariat, the PCC Commission o­n Inspection and Head of the PCC Commission o­n Inspection.

The 12th PCC strictly followed the election process in accordance with the Party Charter and the election regulations of the 12th National Party Congress. After discussion of democracy, the PCC reached a consensus o­n the number of Politburo members of 19, and elected enough 19 persons to the Politburo. They include:

1. Nguyen Phu Trong, Party General Secretary
2. Tran Dai Quang, General, Minister of Public Security
3. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly
4. Ngo Xuan Lich, General, Chief of the General Department of Politics under the
   Vietnam People's Army
5. To Lam,Senior Lieutenant, Deputy Minister
   of Public Security
6. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Deputy Prime Minister
7. Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front
8. Dinh The Huynh, Head of the PCC Commission o­n Popularization and Education
9. Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Head of the PCC Commission
   on Organization
10. Tong Thi Phong, Deputy Chairwoman of the National Assembly
11. Vuong Dinh Hue, Head of the PCC Commission o­n Economics
12. Tran Quoc Vuong, Head of Office of the PCC
13. Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs
14. Truong Thi Mai, Head of the National Assembly Committee
    for Social Affairs
15. Truong Hoa Binh, Head of the Supreme People's Court
16. Nguyen Van Binh, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam
17. Vo Van Thuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee
18. Dinh La Thang, Minister of Transport
19. Hoang Trung Hai, Deputy Prime Minister

The PCC reached a high consensus to re-elect Nguyen Phu Trong, Party General Secretary term XI as Party General Secretary term XII.

The PPC assigned the Politburo to select some members to join the PCC Secretariat.

During the plenum, the PCC elected 3 members to the Secretariat. They are:

1. Luong Cuong,Lieutenant General, Deputy Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army
2. Nguyen Van Nen, Head of Office of the Government
3. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Head of the Supreme People's Procuracy

The PCC elected the PCC Commission o­n Inspection term XII which includes 21 members. They are:
