National women’s football picks up 1st sponsorship

For the first time in the history of the Vietnamese National Women’s Football Championship, sponsorship has been arranged for the 2006 season final event.
Viet A Commercial Industrial Corporation agreed to sponsor the 2006 league for women’s VND400 million (US$25,190), announced the Vietnam Football Federation Monday. In addition, the VFF also said they will fund VND320 million ($20,153) to six women’s football teams attending this year’s league. The six teams are Ho Chi Minh City, Ha Tay, Hanoi, Cua ong Coal, Thai Nguyen, and Ha Nam. The Championships have been scheduled for March 9 to April 17.
