Midterm Review Conference on Implementing the Joint - Resolution on “Managing and Educating our Juniors Not to Commit Sins and Social Evils”

This program, signed between the Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Police since 2002, aims to contribute to implementing a 3- reduction target in Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2002 – 2007. Carrying out this resolution, women’s unions and polices at all levels have held talks, competitions, creation and performance of short plays, club activities and exchanges with exemplary people…With the movement“Each women is an efficient assistance to the police”, over the last three years, the women’s union has supplied polices to over 2000 valuable news related to crimes’ activities. Ho Chi Minh City Women’s Union established a consultancy center for trafficked women, victims of sex injury and supplied them with vocational training and a vehicle to return them home safely.

In the particular context of mobilizing family of members of women’s union staff to say no to drugs, to the end of 2005, there have been 520566/543936 families of members of women’s union registering to implement this (account for 95,7%). The conference approved the activities orientation in 2006, according to which, continued to coordinate the communicating and education of the youth and students to prevent social evils, strengthening and bringing into play the efficiency of happy family clubs, building the models of managing, educating and assisting people after being detoxified and imprisonment as well as high – risk subjects…to stabilize their lives and re-integrate into society.
