Meeting with VWU’s local key cadres from the ethnic minorities and religious comunities

13th Dec 2006, Mme. Ha Thi Khiet, Member of the Central Party Committee, President of Vietnam Women’s Union, President of the National Committee for the Advancement of Vietnamese Women met VWU’s local key cadres from the minorities and religious communities who are attending a training class on VWU’s work at Vietnam Central Women’s School.

81 trainees from 61 provinces and cities attended the meeting. They come from different ethnic groups of Tay, Thai, Dao, Mong, Muong, Van Kieu, San Chi, Poong, Ha Nhi, Can Lan, Paco, Nung.

 

In the meeting, President Ha Thi Khiet emphasized the fruitful achievements of VWU during 2002-2007 term; the performance of all levels women’s congress; the preparation process for the Xth National Women’s Congress and key missions for the next term. Mme Khiet also praised the achievements and various contributions of VWU’s local key cadres, especially those working in the remote areas, with the ethnic minorities and areas concentrated a large number of parishioners. She encouraged VWU’s local cadres to try their best to overcome difficulties, ceaselessly study, fully accomplish their assigned responsibilities; and together with other members and women contribute to the socio-economic development in the localities.
