Meeting of the Presidium of Central Vietnam Women’s Union - Term IX
This meeting conference is very significant in preparation for the 9th meeting of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union term IX. The Meeting focused on discussion and making contributions to thedraft documents of the 10th National Women’s Congress which will take place at the beginning of March 2007: i.e. the Draft Report of VWU’s activities in the 9th term and the Work plan of VWU in the 10th term, the amended and revised regulation of VWU; the proposed list of candidates tothe 10th VWU’s Executive Committee ; Reviewing theorganization of the 3 level Women’s Congress (term 2001-2006) as well as the evaluating the leadership of VWU's Executive Committee.
At the meeting, almost of participants agreed that the political report to be submitted to the 10th Congress was prepared thoroughly representing intelligence and responsibility of VWU's leadership, staff, members and women in the whole country as well. The Women’s Union’ activities and the women movements in term 2001-2006 obtained important achievements marking a new development step on activities’ quality and effectiveness. Those achievements resulted from tenacious efforts of the staff and members in the whole country in general, and the flexibility and creativity of VWU’s Executive Committee particularly.
At the meeting, participants contributed practical ideas to the drafted amendment and revision of the regulations of VWU, the report on reviewing the activities of the Central Executive Committee term IX, the number, structure, and qualification of the members of the 10th Executive Committee of VWU and agreed on the schedule to hold thelast meting ofthe Central Executive Committee organized on the 8th and 9th January and the program of the 10th National Women’s Congress.
