The Fund, co-financed by the Vietnam Women’s Union and Rejoice Shampoo producer under Procter and Gamble (P&G) Limited Company, was founded to support out-of-town girls in their learning and working.
At the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, Member of the Central Communist Party, Vice-President of the Vietnam Women’s Union and Mr. Anhul Chauhan, Marketing Manager of Ltd. P&G signed the cooperation commitment for the Fund.
After the speeches of representatives from VWU and Ltd. P&G, the first 10 girls (Co Tam), selected from out-of-town girls who are learning and working in Ho Chi Minh City, were awarded with allowance of 1,000,000 VND /each. In the next three months, 90 girls selected from Ha Noi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho will be supported. A part from allowance, the girls will have chance to benefit from free vocational training at Women Cultural Houses or Vocational Training Centers in the four cities.
