Gala welcomed 2006 Lunar New Year
On February 17, 2006, (January7th lunar calendar) in Paris, France, Vietnamese Association in France in cooperation with the Vietnam Embassy in France and Vietnam mission to UNESCO organized the Gala to welcome 2006 Lunar New Year.
The program lasted from 4 p.m of Feb. 17 to 2 a.m of the following day with various activities such as, Tet Market, Art performance and banquet.

Some special traditional dramas of Cai luong (Reformed Theatre) and Cheo (popular opera) were performed by Vietnamese actresses and artists as Thanh Thanh Hien, Quoc Anh and Thu Huyen to serve the oversea Vietnamese. Artist Hoang Lan performed a solo by Dan bau (monochord musical instrument) some pieces of Vietnamese folk music of Lullaby.
