Free meals provided to poor, disadvantaged people
Running from April 27 to 29, the charity programme is co-hosted by the Centre for Women and Development under the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Thien Duc Service JSC.
It aims to help poor and near-poor households, the disadvantaged (the disabled and those vulnerable to domestic violence and victims of domestic violence), students in need, and migrant and foreign workers in need, with priority given to women.
It is also giving away dried food and clothing from 10am to 1pm or when supplies run out.
The centre also provides free consultations to women and children who are victims of domestic violence or abuse or who have returned from being trafficked.
It also supports women who suffer a mental illness and promotes the use of face masks and hand sanitizer and the practice of social distancing.
It continues to receive donations from the community./.
