Four Vietnamese films, all directed by women, will be screened March 15 at the 28th Créteil International Women Film Festival, which opened Friday in suburban Paris.

The films include two features, Chung Cu (Dormitory) by Viet Linh and Hat Mua Roi Bao Lau (Bride of Silence) by Doan Minh Phuong, and two short documentaries – Trong phuong Thanh Cong co lang Thanh Cong (Thanh Cong village in Thanh Cong ward) by Phan Thi Vang Anh, and Khoa by Phan Huyen Thu.

The 90-minute

The film was invited to attend the Créteil International Women Film Festival five years ago but the French distributor never allowed it

The film won the Best ASEAN Film award at the Bangkok International Film Festival 2006 in Thailand late last month.

Previously it won the Best New Director award at the 10th International Film Festival in Kerala, India in December 2005 and a special jury prize at the 34th Rotterdam International Film Festival in February the same year.
