The meeting evaluated women’s movement situation and women’s union activities in the first 6 months of 2009; started the work plan for the last 6 months of the year; evaluated the result of implementation of entrusting loans between Vietnam Women’s Union and Bank of Social Policies; drew lessons learnt and proposed appropriate measures for the coming time.
At the meeting, WUs at district and city levels made report on the implementation of their key tasks which contributed to build “prosperous, equal, progressive and happy family”; evaluated the quality of entrusting loans to appropriate borrowers; assisting women to use the capital effectively to develop household economy contributing to poverty eradication.
On this occasion, Quang Binh Women’s Union awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister for 01 individual who has excellent contribution to WU activities and gave rewards to 22 units having good result in entrusting capital management. Previously, WUs at district and city levels organized meetings to evaluate and give rewards to 60 units having implemented well the entrusting loans for poor households and other beneficiaries of social policies and 38 individuals who managed and used the entrusting capital effectively.
